Responsibilities: At Riptide I worked as the sole designer on a team of 15+ engineers to develop a suite of customer-facing applications and in-house tools for Riptide IO's Building Management System. Notable projects include a visual programming editor, a drag-and-drop KPI reports builder, a custom map portfolio overview, and an isometric equipment schematics builder. I also contributed a significant amount of code to the frontend of the applications and tools I designed.
Background: RiptideIO is an industrial IoT company that specialized in building management systems (BMS). It offered a comprehensive view of every piece of equipment in a building (or portfolio of buildings), as well as useful dashboards with past and current data. Users were able to monitor, maintain, and optimize their building's systems from a single interface, rather than be restricted by proprietary equipment management solutions.
